NHS Prescription Delivery Information
From 16th March 2017 we’ll be sending your medicines using Royal Mail’s tracked 48-hour service. Delivery is free, fully track-able and you’ll benefit from:
- Receiving a text message or an email notification from Royal Mail to let you know when your parcel will arrive
- Choosing a ‘safe place’, so your parcel can be left somewhere safe if no-one is home to accept delivery
- A fully track-able delivery service, for extra peace of mind
Delivery through your letterbox: If package size allows, we can post your order first class and deliver your medicines through your letterbox. Simply log into your online account to let us know if you would prefer this type of delivery.
If you feel this is unsafe for us to do so, for example if you have small children or pets - a signature will be needed upon delivery.
Choose a safeplace: For larger packages, if you're not home to accept delivery you can choose a safe place if you are not home to accept delivery or if Royal Mail still can't deliver, a card will be left so you can arrange re-delivery for free. We can deliver to any address - your home, your place of work, to a carer or neighbour.
NHS prescription orders that weigh over 20kg will be sent by UK Mail. This is a guaranteed next day delivery service.
Private Prescription Delivery Information
All private prescriptions over £40 will be delivered FREE by Royal Mail Tracked 24 service or Royal Mail First Class depending on the size of the order. Delivery is normally next day including Saturdays.
All private prescriptions under £40 will attract a delivery charge of either £3.45 or £6.25 depending on the delivery service selected.
Online Doctor Delivery Information
All consultations which result in a prescription, if received before 1.00pm will normally be dispatched on the same day by Royal Mail Tracked 24 or Royal Mail First Class at a cost of £3.45.
Please note that if this is your first online consultation or if you have submitted a new consultation, it can take up to one working day for the doctor to diagnose your consultation.
Please note that from 29th February 2016, Pharmacy2U will only deliver prescription products to UK addresses.
Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions to this and apologise for any disappointment this may cause.
Retail Order Delivery Information
As of 08th December 2016, Pharmacy2U no longer sell non-prescription products.
Please visit our sister company, Chemist Direct, for medicines, everyday essential toiletries, vitamins, supplements and more.
You can arrange for your order to be delivered to alternative addresses including your place of work, or to a member of your family or use Safe Place with Royal Mail Tracked.
Safeplace lets you inform your postman of a convenient place to leave your item if you are not home to accept delivery. This could be a secure place of your choice or with a nominated neighbour. If they still can’t deliver, a card will be left so you can arrange redelivery for free. Remember, we can deliver to any address - such as your home, your place of work, to a carer or neighbour.
Re-despatch of any returned orders may incur an additional delivery charge. There may be delays to the Isle of Man and Scottish Islands.
In a very small number of cases Royal Mail may not meet expected service levels. In this situation please allow 7-10 days from dispatch before contacting us.
All BPFO orders will be sent Royal Mail 2nd Class. Orders containing medicines may require a signature on delivery. Please note that deliveries are made to the delivery address you supply to us.
